The Executive Chairman of Uvwie Local Government Council and Coordinator of the Renewed Hope Ambassadors in Uvwie Local Government Area, Hon. Chief Anthony Onoriode Ofoni (JP), on Thursday, hosted the Delta State Coordinator of the Renewed Hope Ambassadors, Hon. Solomon Funkekeme, on a sensitization visit aimed at mobilizing stakeholders and members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) ahead of the 2027 general elections.
The stakeholders' engagement, held at the Festus Keyamo Hall, Effurun, brought together party leaders, political office holders, ward and unit executives, members of the Renewed Hope Ambassadors, and other APC faithful from across Uvwie Local Government Area.
In his welcome address, Hon. Chief Anthony Onoriode Ofoni (JP) expressed appreciation to God for the opportunity to host the meeting and warmly welcomed the Delta State Coordinator and his delegation to Uvwie.
The Council Chairman commended President Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu for providing purposeful leadership and implementing reforms that have repositioned the nation's economy despite prevailing challenges. He also acknowledged the leadership of the Executive Governor of Delta State, Rt. Hon. Elder Sheriff Oborevwori, and other party leaders for their commitment to the growth and progress of the APC in Delta State.
Hon. Ofoni emphasized that the successes recorded by the APC at all levels of government are products of collective commitment, sacrifice, and visionary leadership. He noted that the Uvwie Local Government Council remains committed to working tirelessly with party leaders and members to ensure the party records overwhelming victories in the 2027 general elections.
He urged members of the APC and the Renewed Hope Ambassadors to remain united, focused, and dedicated to the common goal of consolidating the achievements of the party at the federal, state, and local government levels.
"I am very confident that as we put in more effort in pursuing our common goal with our focus on ensuring a very successful and victorious outcome, the 2027 elections will be a win-win for us. I therefore encourage us all to remain united and focused as we march towards achieving our goal," the Chairman stated.
Addressing the gathering, the Delta State Coordinator of the Renewed Hope Ambassadors, Hon. Solomon Funkekeme, said the purpose of his statewide sensitization tour was to educate party stakeholders and members on the numerous achievements of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu's administration and the objectives of the Renewed Hope Ambassadors initiative.
He highlighted several accomplishments of the Tinubu administration across critical sectors, including economic reforms, infrastructure development, education, healthcare, agriculture, security, and social investment programmes. According to him, the administration has laid a strong foundation for sustainable national development and economic recovery.
Hon. Funkekeme further explained that one of the major achievements of President Tinubu's administration is the improved financial capacity of state governments and local government councils, enabling them to execute more developmental projects and deliver democratic dividends to the people.
He noted that the increased allocations and financial reforms introduced by the Federal Government have empowered governors and local government chairmen to undertake impactful projects that directly improve the lives of citizens across the country.
The State Coordinator stressed that the Renewed Hope Ambassadors movement was established to enlighten Nigerians on the policies, programmes, and achievements of the Tinubu administration while mobilizing grassroots support for the continuity of the Renewed Hope Agenda beyond 2027.
He charged party faithful to take the message of the administration's achievements to every ward, unit, and community, urging them to remain committed to strengthening the APC across Delta State.
The Chairman of the Delta State Internal Revenue Service (DSIRS) and National Chairman of the OSU Political Forum, Hon. Chief Solomon Ighrakpata, on Thursday led a large gathering of All Progressives Congress (APC) stakeholders in Uvwie Local Government Area to reaffirm their commitment to the Renewed Hope Agenda of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and mobilise support ahead of the 2027 general elections.
The well-attended Renewed Hope Agenda Stakeholders' Meeting, held in Uvwie Local Government Area, brought together party leaders, chieftains, elected and appointed officials, ward executives, youth and women leaders, and grassroots mobilisers.
Delivering the keynote address, Hon. Ighrakpata described President Tinubu's economic reforms as bold, courageous, and people-oriented, noting that they are laying the foundation for a stronger and more prosperous Nigeria.
"The Renewed Hope Agenda is not just a slogan; it is a blueprint for national rebirth. Yes, the reforms are difficult, but difficult decisions are necessary to reposition our economy, strengthen our security architecture, and improve the welfare of every Nigerian," he said.
He urged residents of Uvwie to remain patient and continue supporting the Federal Government, expressing confidence that the benefits of the ongoing reforms would soon be felt across the country.
Speaking on developments in Delta State, Ighrakpata commended the leadership of Governor Rt Hon Sheriff Oborevwori, stating that the administration's M.O.R.E Agenda is delivering critical infrastructure, creating economic opportunities, and improving the lives of Deltans.
"The M.O.R.E Agenda of Governor Sheriff Oborevwori is perfectly aligned with Mr. President's Renewed Hope Agenda. Delta State must remain in sync with the centre. We must mobilise massively and work tirelessly to ensure victory for all APC candidates in the 2027 elections," he charged.
The DSIRS Chairman also called for unity, discipline, and sustained grassroots mobilisation, stressing that electoral victory would be achieved through effective engagement at the polling-unit level.
"2027 will be won at the polling units, not on social media," he added.
Also addressing the gathering, the Delta State Renewed Hope Coordinator, Rt. Hon. Solomon Funkekeme, commended APC faithful in Uvwie for their steadfast loyalty and resilience, while highlighting key achievements of the Tinubu administration over the past two years.
According to him, the Federal Government has recorded significant milestones in education through the introduction of the Student Loan Scheme, improved national security through increased funding for the armed forces, and accelerated infrastructure development with ongoing road, rail, and energy projects across the country.
"This is Renewed Hope in action. The administration is laying a solid foundation for sustainable economic growth and national development," Funkekeme stated.
He appealed to the people of Uvwie to reward President Tinubu's leadership with overwhelming support in the 2027 general elections.
"Let Uvwie Local Government be counted among those that will deliver one of the highest votes for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu. Renewed Hope will bring more development, more empowerment, and greater opportunities to Delta State," he said.
The meeting concluded with a unanimous vote of confidence in President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Governor Sheriff Oborevwori, Hon. Chief Solomon Ighrakpata, and the APC leadership in Delta State.
Stakeholders also pledged to intensify grassroots mobilisation by taking the message of the Renewed Hope Agenda to every ward, community, and polling unit across Uvwie Local Government Area in preparation for the 2027 general elections.
The meeting also featured interactions with stakeholders, who reaffirmed their commitment to the ideals of the APC and pledged to intensify grassroots mobilization in support of the Renewed Hope Agenda.
Participants unanimously resolved to work collectively towards ensuring victory for the APC in the 2027 general elections, declaring their support for the re-election of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Governor Sheriff Oborevwori, and all candidates of the All Progressives Congress.
The event ended with renewed enthusiasm, unity, and a shared determination among party leaders and members to consolidate the gains of the APC while sustaining the developmental strides of the Tinubu administration for the benefit of all Nigerians.
