As Nigerians condemned the horrendous injustice meted by Brigadier General M.S. Adamu of the Nigerian Navy to Seaman Haruna Abbas , a Navy officer who allegedly fell victim of misconduct and was unlawfully detained for nearly six years.
A Zamfara concerned citizen, Mallam Fahad Gusau dragged the former Governor of State, Bello Mutawalle accusing him to have lied in a day broad lie of the Navy inhumanity act by the senior officer.
Fahad said Mutawalle being the state Minister of defense lied by saying that Seaman Haruna Abbas was not detained for six years during his television program in Channel TV. That the story couldn't be true of navy officer of Adamu's type to do such a thing.
According to Fahad Mutawalle's lies is contrary to the shocking revelations by Seaman Haruna Abbas' wife, Mrs Hussaina Iliyasu when she appeared on a human rights TV program, "Berekete" alleging that her husband has been detained Since 2018 following a misunderstanding with Brigadier General Adamu during a joint operation in Taraba State.
He allegedly called Mutawalle a "serial liar" who has not been upright, forthright and straightforward in telling Nigerians the true about the accusations leveled against him by the State Governor, Lawal Dauda Dare of his involvement in Zamfara State banditry.
Fahad said that Mutawalle was asked to swear with the Holy Quran if is clean and his hands are not deeply involved in the insecurity challenges that bedeviled Zamfara State.
"This Man is rather making abracadabra, meandering around the real issue. What we keep seeing are bandits making videos dropping and calling his name as their financier and mentor of their evil motives." Fahad said
Fahad said Mutawalle is total ignorance of what Defense is all about, as a minister of state if he cannot provide security for the nation, most especially his Zamfara State of origin is more of a Man with zero passion for his people.
He called on Nigerian to rise against Mutawalle for not defending the truth on the issue of Seaman Haruna Abbas that suffered gross human right violation as a minister of defense that ought to have a pillar of defense to all people.
He said Mutawalle should stop the many lies and come clean on the allegations raised against him by Governor Lawal Dauda Dare for Zamfara State to be a safe haven
