Republican lawmakers ‘morally corrupt’: Fox News host Sean Hannity

Fox News host Sean Hannity, a strong supporter of US President Donald Trump, says members of Congress in Trump’s own Republican Party are “morally corrupt” for undermining his presidency, describing the GOP as  a "dead party."
“Here’s my view on the Republican Party; it is a dead party,” Hannity said Monday during a radio interview with Breitbart News.
“They are morally corrupt, they are weak...They are ineffective, they’re vision-less, and they have no identity,” Hannity told Stephen Bannon, Trump’s former chief strategist and executive chairman of Breitbart News, a far-right American news website.
"And I feel it is heartbreaking to me, because so many people trusted them in 2010, 2014 – Give us the House, give us the Senate," the conservative political commentator said.
"Then they get the White House and then they turn on a man that’s advocating the same principles that they have been quoting for years on the campaign trail.”
Hannity is a strong supporter of Trump, often praising the president and his policies. During the 2016 US presidential election campaign, Hannity gave Trump more air time than other primary candidates.
Since Trump's election, Hannity has promoted the president’s claim that there is a so-called "deep state" within the US government working to obstruct the Trump administration.
In a Twiiter message in June, Hannity said deep state players were “creating collateral damage” for the country and working against Trump’s agenda.
