US President Donald Trump’s son-in-law is registered as a female voter in New York, registration records show.
The White House senior adviser, who is married to Ivanka Trump checked a box registering his gender as female in a 2009 election, Wiredreported Wednesday.
The error was initially spotted by Democratic opposition research group American Bridge, according to the report, reading "Is Kushner a woman? Did he just accidentally fill out the form incorrectly? Is he the victim of a malicious voter impersonation scheme? Unfortunately, there's absolutely no way to know for sure."
"Kushner can't even fill out the most basic paperwork without screwing it up, so it's a mystery why anyone thinks he's somehow going to bring peace to the Middle East," said Brad Bainum, a spokesperson for the group.
The Jewish presidential son-in-law has been tapped as a negotiator to bring about peace between Israel and Palestinians.

Kushner is a person of interest in the ongoing probe into Russia’s alleged intervention in the 2016 presidential election that yielded President Trump.
Reports emerged in June that he was present at a meeting with a Russian lawyer at Trump Tower in the summer of 2016 in an effort to dig up damaging information on Trump’s contender, Hillary Clinton.
His portfolio of issues at the White House, however, is not just limited to that.

Another report has triggered a new investigation and that into his use of private email.
Abbe Lowell, a lawyer for Kushner, said in a statement on Sunday that “fewer than 100 emails from January through August were either sent to or returned by Mr. Kushner to colleagues in the White House from his personal email account.”
The House Oversight and Government Reform Committee has requested Kushner to “preserve all official records” for the investigation.
The Wired report boosts Kushner’s vast portfolio of issues as the White House gears up to deal with allegations of collusion with the Kremlin during the 2016 campaign and transition, an accusation both parties deny.  
"Would anyone but the president's son-in-law still have a West Wing job after repeated disclosure errors and a botched a security clearance form?" asked the American Bridge spokesman.
Since Trump assumed office in January, his administration has been battered by various scandals and dismissals.
