US President Donald Trump lashes out at Barack Obama, demands apology

US President Donald Trump has accused his predecessor Barack Obama of collusion and obstruction of justice in the alleged Russian hacking case, demanding “an apology” for being  investigated over "nothing."
The new Republican president launched a Twitter rant against Obama on Monday night, claiming he deliberately ignored the CIA’s early warnings of possible Russian meddling in the 2016 US presidential election to support Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton.
“The reason that President Obama did NOTHING about Russia after being notified by the CIA of meddling is that he expected Clinton would win,” Trump fumed in one tweet.
“And [he] did not want to ‘rock the boat.’ He didn't "choke," he colluded or obstructed, and it did the Dems and Crooked Hillary no good,” he added.
Soon after Trump’s November 8 victory against Clinton, Obama joined other prominent Democrats in blaming Russia for their defeat. He even ordered the intelligence community to conduct an investigation that ultimately supported his stance.
“The real story is that President Obama did NOTHING after being informed in August about Russian meddling,” Trump fired away in another tweet. “With 4 months looking at Russia, under a magnifying glass, they have zero "tapes" of T people colluding. There is no collusion & no obstruction. I should be given apology!”
Despite Trump's many jabs at Obama, the first African American president has largely remained silent since leaving the White House.

The Trump administration has been under scrutiny since his first day in the White House. A long-running investigation by the Senate and the FBI has seen the president lose his favorite National Security Adviser Mike Flynn.
The investigation has been expanded to include major players within Trump’s team, including his son-in-law and senior adviser Jared Kushner.
Trump fired FBI chief James Comey, who, besides the Russian election hacking allegations, also led an investigation into Clinton’s use of an email server to exchange sensitive work-related emails during her tenure as secretary of state.
There is now speculation that Trump is considering firing special counsel Robert Mueller, who curerntly leads the investigation.
Mueller was elected for the job after Trump’s Attorney General Ben Session withdrew from overseeing the probe due to his meetings with Russian officials as a “Trump surrogate” during the campaign.
Russia has strongly dismissed US claims that it interfered in the 2016 vote by hacking and exposing secrets of the Democratic National Committee (DNC) as well as Clinton’s top aide, John Podesta.
